    		McQueen
If you were blown away by the fashion designs of the remarkable British designer Alexander McQueen, this one's for you. It's an extraordinary play that's already gathered plenty of critical acclaim as well as rave reviews from audiences. It's transferring to the Theatre Royal Haymarket for a strictly limited season, and it's set to delight theatregoers from August 2015. According to The Times “Christopher Marney’s choreography is sensual and menacing. David Farley’s design elegant and evocative. A fabulous performance from Stephen Wight”. And the Evening Standard joins in, saying “Stephen Wight captures the tormented genius of Alexander McQueen”. As you'd expect, tickets are set to sell like hot cakes.
The plot goes like this. There's a strange girl hiding in a tree in McQueen's Mayfair garden. She's been here for eleven nights, observing his painful struggle for inspiration. Tonight she breaks in and steals a gorgeous designer dress she'd never otherwise be able to afford, and together with McQueen hits the streets of London for one of his legendary wild nights out. But it's strong medicine and she finds it takes much more than a dream dress to survive a night like this. Can the two troubled souls give each other the comfort they so desperately need and live to fight another day? Grab tickets now before they all go!

It is a must see I simply fell in love with the text of the play itself. I have to buy the text published and I wish to read it. Again and again and again. It brings so much, it tells a lot. I am in love with that play. In love with the performance itself. It was a great show, a great, dynamic show. Moving, passionate, touching. It made me cry several times… That means a lot… First - McQueen - played masterly. Applause! Isabella Blow… I have no words to describe how much I admire the actress playing her. Applause! That woman, that actress is a… I have no words. I am just speechless. The whole cast - admirable! The dancers - magical! Applause! Unforgettable! Applause…

McQueen in wings Truly enjoyed this show, we were hesitant when we saw the reviews, but how wrong they were.
Excellent show, a story to be taught, actors were superb and what a wonderful theatre.
Not recommended for families or young children because of the swearing, otherwise anyone else.......its the story and they got it right.

Thought provoking story Really enjoyed the show. Gave an interesting insight into mental illness and the life of 'celebrity'.

Excellent play! Really so pleased I got to see McQueen. Stephen Wight was exceptional and uncannily so like Lee McQueen in his look and mannerisms. This production has everything; sadness, humour, warmth, vulnerability, bravery, poignancy, the list is endless. Particulary loved the writing of the scene where Lee describes the blode woman, and thought the dialogue with Isabella blow was brave, raw and very moving. Think I'll be going to see this again!

Amazing Having seen the savage beauty show at the v and a this was a great follow on. We felt that the story de picked the pain and struggle of being a tortured genius and i could genuinely relate to the challenge of living one day at a time. Depression is something that film makers and producers she away from and I felt it was very brave. As someone with depression I for once felt that the illness was talked about in an accurate way and not glamourised or belittled. Amazing acting too
