The Goat or Who Is Sylvia?

Sylvia is a goat. And Martin has fallen head over heels in love with her. His wife and son are appalled, but he can't help himself. It's Edward Albee's multi-award winning play The Goat, or Who is Sylvia, and it's due in the West End for March 2017, starring the wonderful Damian Lewis. If you loved him in Wolf Hall, Billions and Homeland, you won't want to miss it! Ian Rickson, the former artistic director at the Royal Court theatre, will direct the play, which is due to run at the Theatre Royal Haymarket for 12 weeks from 24th March, announced just a month after the death of the playwright aged 88.

This is the winner of a Tony Award for Best New Play, won when it premièred on Broadway in 2002. It's also the winner of a 2002 Drama Desk Award for Outstanding New Play and has been nominated for several more: the 2002 Tony nomination for Best Actress in a Play, a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actor in a Play, and a Drama Desk Award for Outstanding Actress in a Play. In 2003 it was nominated for the Pulitzer Prize for Drama, and in 2006 the Helpmann Award for Best Play. Don't miss it!
