Trainspotting The Musical

I've wanted to see it, because i've loved the movie when he came out in 1997. Hard to keep up sometimes, Really well done. The actors played it well.

Great show Begbie was fantastic but in all fairness they were all really good.

The music was too loud and made it difficult to hear the lyrics of the songs. Although set in the 1980's, it's sad to see that we have the same problems in 'forgotten communities' now.

Despite poor reviews I thought this production was brilliant. It wasn’t exactly the same as the film but was its own unique production separate from the original. Thought the music acting, singing was great and the characters especially Spud were brilliant. Would definitely recommend.

Started off a bit hectic, with lots of running around, but then settled into the story nicely. Excellent acting and singing alongside a really upbeat soundtrack from the resident band. Lots of swearing and really strong Scottish accents, as per the film, but a very enjoyable watch.

Be aware of bad language and difficult issues being addressed

The 1990s Leith in Edinburgh was captured well and the story of life for families and young people affected by addiction boldy told. Brought different emotions to the surface through storyline, acting and music - anger, humour, frustration and empathy.

Fabulous cast, great acting/singing! If you enjoyed the film, this production wont disappoint! Choose Life! 😊

definitely different from the movie - it does provide a complete new experience over the Trainspotting soundtrack

Obviously very hard to compete with such an iconic film but they got the characters pretty much right and the acting, singing & movement was very good. Unfortunately it was press night and ive never been in an audience so rude & distracting…constantly getting up for drinks and the toilet, talking and at one point someone even filming on their phone. A bloke was mansplaining the story to his partner behind us in a loud voice and the two people in front spent half the show kissing, rummaging in a handbag, fluffing their hair up etc. Ive seen better behaved kids at the theatre.
