Waiting For Godot

Waiting for Godot returns to London, this time with two brilliant British actors taking the lead. On in the West End for 2024/25 at the Theatre Royal Haymarket for a strictly limited season from September 2024, it stars Lucian Msamati of Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Death in Paradise fame as Estragon. Vladimir is played by Ben Whishaw, who has thrilled audiences in Mojo, Hamlet, Skyfall, Spectre, No Time To Die and many more stage, TV, big screen and small screen roles. Add the fact that this is one of the greatest plays of the 20th century and the signs are looking very good indeed.

Don’t miss the play that changed the rules forever. The plot focuses on two men who are waiting for a man called Godot, standing next to a tree talking. They don’t know who Godot is, what time he’ll arrive – if at all - or why they’re meant to be meeting him, but they know it’ll be something really special. The hope that the idea of Godot inspires in the men gives them the dignity needed to rise above life’s problems. We recommend you buy tickets early – this classic game-changing play is always popular.

Amazing cast
The story is one that is up for personal interpretation. Go home and reflect on it; why were they waiting, was there really Godot, was it real

Riveting
This is a great interpretation - true to Beckett - up to date Fascism is there - frustration - but also the human spirit Of comaraderie.
